Charter our fishing boat

JULY 2010

This year has seen an influx of small Codling 10-12" in length.  (This boads well for the following seasons).

At the moment (July) there are large amounts of Mackerel, Large Whiting, up to 20" being the biggest we have caught, but the average is 14-16" long.

A few Pollock are showing under Bempton Cliffs as well as the usual Coley, Pouting, Wrass and small Ling, also there is the odd Dogfish.

The Wreck Fishing has been patchy although we have had some good bags of Cod and Ling on the Inshore Wrecks.  Our best day so far was a mid week trip on 9th July where 2 Ling weighing 15lb each, 1 weighing 13lb, 1 weighing 12lb and several scraper doubles were caught.  On this trip we also caught approximately 10 Cod between 6-8lb.

The best Wrecking months are yet to come......
